P2100 Parallel Fast Exit Parlour, High Farm

Geoff and Deb Pye and Family from High Farm, Carnforth were milking their herd of 200 Pedigree Jersey Cows through a 30 degree 16/16 parlour. With milking beginning to take longer and longer, with increasing numbers and a poor cow flow they looked into alternatives. They finally set their heart on a Parallel Fast Exit parlour and after being impressed by seeing a Delaval parlour in action they went ahead and ordered. The parlour was completed in February 2012. After a bit of training teaching the cows to turn 90° rather than the 30° they were used to all went well. Now milking is an enjoyable experience with the operators fighting to milk.
