P2100 40/40 Fast Exit Parlour

David Thistlethwaite - Grange Farm, on the Fylde Coast was milking 260+ cows through an aged Fullwood 24/24. He was looking to increase cow numbers to 340, save milking time and reduce the time that cows were standing waiting to be milked and handled. After looking at competitors parlours David was impressed that he could locally view recently installed Delaval parlours that he could use as references. The parlour is sited in a 'built for purpose' building with a cow handling area. Milk yield has increased and there has been a reduction in mastitis cases. Milking and handling time has already reduced by 1.25hr each end of day (5 man hours per day) with major cost saving implications. The cows are quieter and cow comfort has improved mobility along with a reduction in lameness. David attributes this to the installed rubber flooring along with less time standing. The parlour installation was completed in March 2018.
